HOTS POW will begin week 3 of school. Daily homework will be assigned in addition to time devoted to reading and studying multiplication facts. Fulton County is a county in the north-central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia.As of 2019 estimates, the population was 1,063,937, making it the state's most populous county and its only one with over 1 million inhabitants. Its county seat is Atlanta, the state capital. Approximately 90% of the City of Atlanta is located within Fulton County (the other 10% lies within DeKalb County).
The Fulton County school district is the only non-contiguous school district in the state, having a 17-mile (27 km) separation (Atlanta Public Schools) between the north and south. As of the 2012-2013 school year, Fulton has 11,500 full-time employees, including 7,500 teachers and other certified personnel, who work in 99 schools and 15 administrative and support buildings.
